Putting another new clutch in my 02M along with a rear main seal, new oil pan, new transmission mount and bracket, etc. Then the re-re-rebuilt injection pump and new injectors go in. The costs of a modified VW... There's a picture of the broken pressure plate in the link in my sig.

We left home 9 days ago and headed to Yellowstone for 3 days, and then we headed to Wisconsin. We will head south from here next Sunday. We are going to stop at the Saint Louis arch and the Grand Canyon and what ever we find along the way. Any suggestion on where to stop are welcome.
We have driven 3000 miles so far and we are getting 30 to 35 MPG so far.

Not sure how far south you are heading, but I really enjoyed Zion National Park

Yes that is on the list of things to do. Also Antelope Canyon. We found out on our way east that timing is everything. I wanted to drive through the Bad lands and stop by the minute man missile site but it was dark when we were in the area.

Antelope Canyon is amazing. While you are in Page, you should do the tour of the Glen Canyon Dam at Lake Powell. Enough concrete in the structure to build a four lane highway from Phoenix to Chicago. Mesa Verde and Monument Valley are also incredible.
