In my '00 Golf GLS TDI I haven't found a good place to hang plastic trash bag. We are a very inventive bunch of guys here. Any suggestions? For the cause of good housekeeping.

Interestingly, Land Rover have incorporated a bag-hanger on the Series 2 Discoverys, at the side of the front passenger footwell. referred to here as a "Curry Hook"! I reckon others will follow the trend.

We have a GLS Jetta. I'm guessing that the GLS Golf has the armrest as well. What we did was use a bag that has velcro strips on either side, and loop the strips around the base of the armrest. The bag hangs behind the armrest.

So, to deposit trash in the bag you have to reach slightly back and behind. Not too bad, but definitely not as easy a bag in the front.

Or you could what a lot of Texas "Bubba's" do. Just toss the trash out the window. Don't need a bag that way. Really makes my blood boil every time I see that happen.

A Curry Hook in America is about as useful as a cup holder in Europe. (if you can´t even eat a kit kat in UK without being arrested......). I don´t think take-away curry exists stateside. So I am working on a design for combination curry hook and cup holder - just think of the savings in manufacturing costs, and the convenience. But what if I want to bring home a curry and drink a coffee at the same time. And make a phone call and smoke a cigarette and thump the kids in the back and change the CD and check the GPS and adjust the heating and.....life is so complicated
