doubt i will be there unless a load comes thru that way. currently sitting still in lansing fj. 4.70 for d2.
That contruction between O'Hare and the Wisconsin border is brutal. On the ride up I-294 is a parking lot starting at I-55. It takes at least an hour just to go from I-55 to O'Hare. I'm going to have to sit out the GTGs until contruction is somewhat abated.

Sounds doable for me depending on the date since I work on a 6 day rotating day off. Some days would work better than others since my start time is 9:45 pm
Hello, looks like I can,t make the tdi fest this time. my 96 passat needs a
new turbo, and the water pump and or gasket is leaking. looks like the
radiator is leaking too. the long axle has a broken boot and will need a rebuild ,and, while I'm at it, the rear shocks, brakes, and tires are bad.
this car is in the garage waiting for t.l.c. (truck load of cash).
I need some help, help with parts -6 junk yards and not one 96/97 passat.
help with repairs, any one in the area with some experience/ special tools
that can show me /help me do some of these repairs. any chance of a g.t.g. at a repair shop. I'm off sauk trail between 394 and I57 not far from rte,30 or 80 . also, my 02 golf tdi is making noises near the lifters and the inj.pump. how much is normal? will it explode? lets have a g.t.g. soon.

This is to start a new/clean thread for the monthly Milwaukee/Chicago area GTG and to make it easier for people to know when/where to meet
We meet on the last Thursday of month about 6:30 PM, at the Brat Stop which located near I-94 and Hwy 50, west of interchange, on the north side of Hwy 50. Their web site is http://www.bratstop.com/
It is not unusual for people to start showing up at 6:00pm
We collect at the back of the place on the far north end of parking lot Look for all the VWs
When the first people go inside, be sure to let them know you are part of the TDIClub and perhaps ask for the tables near the stage (plenty of room there). This will give us a bit more room then a booth and will make it easier for new members others to find the group.
Free wireless Internet access is available in their main area

I may actually show up at the Brat Stop this time, for once. I'd be curious to see the new TDI. Where's everyone parking that's going?
The thought is to drive in and along the east side of the Brat-Stop, and go straight north to the end of the lot. Since we are the only ones to park in this spot, and as driving in it can be seen if other TDIers are there, it works out good.lovemybug said:
