April Brat stop gtg

Hey I can attempt to be there in April....I may be working, but would enjoy the chance to meet you folks. I went to the one in Lake Mills and learned alot. I picked up a Vag Com since then and was looking for instruction on how to use. (More than just finding codes, fixing problem, then clearing them.) Maybe even some tutoring on mechanical work...I'll need a timing belt soon...

I'm going to try and be there this month, I'd like to show off the wheels on my car and spread the word that they are for sale. They are Migila Spyders 18" with Pirelli tires. Anyone interested can check them out next Thursday or PM me. $400 is all I'm asking and that will include the wheel studs.

I can't make it until further notice. The navy is so kind to me they moved me to night classes. 1600-2400 M-F
I still can't get used to the schedule. I automatically wake up by 8 or 9am cause the sun is out.

I'm planning on being there. Anybody bring thier VAGCOM? I'd like to do a quick debug on my cruise control & associated switches.

Hey Speed, are you stationed at Great Lakes? Just curious....

Bob

Howdy Bob, Yes, I am stationed here at Great Mistakes (great lakes). The navy medically disquallified me for sub duty. I was a nuke MM. I'm going to school up here for a cross conversion to Combat Systems Electronics Tech. Now I get to change all my uniforms again from MM2 to ET2.

looks like a few people are going for sure... how many usually show up at this monthly Brat Stop? (I haven't been before but have been keeping my eye on this thread:D ) I don't want to show up and be the only person there:cool:
This looks like it might actually be a pretty good turnout! Sometimes it's just a few, sometimes more.

Its not that bad to be the only person there, but its not great either.

What is bad, is being there and not knowing that there is another TDIer there too.

I didn't get off work early like I wanted to, but I'll be leaving in a minute. probably wont be there before 6 unless I decide to stop caring about fuel economy and drive recklessly :D I'll be the guy who shows up fashionably late looking like I'm lost

LOL:confused: Thank you Jack. Yes unfortunately Nick does have a guzzler of a gasser:eek: I've been hinting towards him that he needs to "join the club." He definetly is more aware than the general public about energy and the environment. His step-father is a TDI owner and his folks live in the same town as I do. I'm thinking about introducing them to the club, his mom would get a kick out of it as she owned an '80s MBZ Turbo Diesel for a long time. Nick told me she was considering a WVO system back in the 90's! LOL she should have taken the gamble! unfortunately for his family, Nick totaled the Benz about 5 years ago :(

I was looking to see the rims at the GTG. Are they sold?
