Testing a glow plug relay?

I have a 9 pin glow plug relay I need to test its the one below the windshield wipers in a 2005 mk4 bew. Below is the same one I pulled out.

What is making you suspicious of the relay? They are very reliable, and seldom fail.

you can pull the gp harness out of the head and hook up an aligator clip for ground and visually see how hot each GP gets... unplug coolant temp sensor first. fairly painless to do. seeing is believing
