Derek,
I offered you the ultimate get well medicine and you turned it down......
sorry, tom, but your medicine would have left me unable to see straight, let alone continue with the fest. i waited until sunday night to try your remedy.

Mine was Zaino'ed and I was a winner too. One thing that I have noticed since I have started useing the product. Was the reduced amount of dust build up on the car. I haven't washed my car since the fest and it still looks good.

Yes, I had a little chat with Eric about that...

What can I say? We all maintain our finishes very well. It's just a matter of how much actual work you want to put into it. I remember Eric claying and Speed Shining the devil out of the Bora at Impex 2 yrs ago...

Zaino is just not that labor-intensive, and really, really lasts.
Oops, the secret is out!

Well Julie,

JoAnn's car will get the Zaino, and I'll try what Eric uses on my Bora.

And he had Dan spend hours helping him clean the car and spray it with Trim Shine.......Nobody helped me.
Griot garage does market a great product though Overpriced in MHO but works..... as I stated in the tech talk use what works for you I have tried almost everything out there and I like ZAINO!

You'll be making quite an investment in product...

(I agree that Griot's seems overpriced.)

But I will be curious to get your opinion once you've gone thru each process.

I'd love to have the cars side by side for a 'touch' test!

Good Luck!

Uh-oh. Derek's suffering brownie withdrawal...

I'm sorry, but I had to spend Sat night prepping for the Show n Shine, and I ran out of time to make the brownies

And since there was no 'Brownie Award' to be had at the 'fest, I had to realign my priorities!

Eric bought the last 2 Fest Best of Shows.
Hmmm..... and I guess I bought the 1st Place at H2O International last year in a class of 38 Cars.....

Consider that you have owned 4 Different TDI's since TDIFest 2003, I think you are the one that is trying to buy something......

LOL.....I am not trying to buy anything......As I am just a Poor hard working POSTAL EMPLOYEE!! Sorry if my statement offended you.....Just trying to find a reliable and trouble free car.By the way, I made enough money off the ones I sold to pay cash for the 96 Passat and put a considerable amount of money down on the new Passat.
Yes and you Bought H20 also with your "stock" euro car......
Nothing personal, nobody can beat your "one off" car.
You should win H20 again this year with your "stock car"
I can't compete in that class because my car isn't stock.....
