Nice list of tips. But, it's interesting that the last entry was from the week of May 15, 2001. Wonder if it's still actively supported?

It's not.

VW used to list all of it's service bulletins, recalls, etc on a website (tech.vw.com), but earlier this year they decided to charge for copies. Some people found a back door into the system and archived all of the existing files and put them up on private servers. So they're only current up to the date that they were archived.
