We have a local VW club and we meet at Sonic on Riverside Sunday nights @ 6:00. Come on out, we have a few TDI's and even some air cooled guys will show up.

Got to talk briefly to an older gentleman last night filling up who had an early 2000 Golf. He asked how I liked mine and of course I said I love it. He told me his had 200,000 plus miles on his. Still looked to be in good condition. Then after that a MK6 Golf pulled in as well. I would way that I see atleast 4-5 TDI's a week in my area if not more.

Is this done for the summer? If there's a few people interested, I'd be willing to haul my Malone tuning equipment down for a meet. I'll also have a location in Antioch, IL available for tuning by appointment coming soon.

Hmm, that'd be tempting. I've been considering a 1.5 egr delete since I bought the car. Either way it's good to know there's someone kinda local. Any advice on the dynamic idle and other options?

If you are doing an EGR delete, I wouldn't do the Dynamic Idle. The Dynamic Idle and Dynamic EGR both work together to speed warmup. I'd have very few people go with the Dynamic EGR (most delete it) and even fewer do the Dynamic Idle. It seems to work as advertised. Personally, I've seen what heavily soot loaded oil does to diesel engine's valvetrains and I prefer to delete it and run a winter front.

It is but I'm sure that it will start to slow down soon as the weather is turning cooler. I wish that I would have known that when I tuned my Passat.
