TDIFest is headed east from the 2010 location of Portland and in 2011; TDIFest will be coming to Lexington, Kentucky on the Labour Day weekend (September 2-4th, 2011).
Congratulations to the great proposal submitted Bruce (paramedick) with the support of this year’s crew:

Aaron (growler)
Julie and Peter (hamsterdiesel and PeterV)
Jon (LugNut)
Tim (cojones)
Rich (RichC)
Cory (ReynolCJ)
Eric (korndawg)
Steven (Richmondkytdi)

The selected hotel is the Hilton Suites at Lexington Green and hotel reservation details will be coming soon, probably in the new year. TDIFest registration will be opening up in the spring.

Once again, congratulations to this year's group and see you in Kentucky.

Cool, this just might be the excuse I've been waiting to visit my old home town (Cincinnati). I still have a sister and brother living there, but I haven't been back there for over 4 years. Cincy is only a few hours north of Lexington. This could work out great. I will start wangling for several weeks vacation. I hope I can make it (for more than one reason, this time).

Have Fun!

Great to be associated with the Lexington team.

1,114 miles from my house...so less than 2 tanks of fuel.

Hmm, my brother lives in KY, I may have to schedule my annual trip around the Fest, he is only 166 miles away.

Nice location. Lot's of great things to do/see.

Just remember a lot of the locals are VERY impatient with out of town drivers....Seen it, BTDT. Maybe it was the summer heat but they were definitely short fused....JMHO.

768 miles for me. I drove to the Fest in Cincinnati a few years back going overnight through Chicago.

13 hours and 800 miles for me. I'm going to seriously consider it, since I've never been to a TDI Fest. It's been over 20 years since I have been to KY. May have to visit my alma mater at Ohio University in Athens as a side trip.

Only 593 miles for me! Count me in, I had a blast at my first TDIFEST in 2009, can't wait to put in for vacation time.

I lived in Lexington for a short time (< 1 year). Nice town. Met lots of nice people there. I can also do the drive to/from Wisconsin with my eyes closed I've done it so many times.

People drive fairly agressively there in my experience. It was always amusing when they got an ice storm. Lots of cars sliding off the roads. With any luck, this will be my first fest !

My wife and I made a special trip to visit Kentucky. Drove back country roads along the entire eastern half. Stayed in Hazard and was told we missed the best part ....

Lexington.

Can't wait, will be there for sure.

The wife and I are already working on driving plans. I feel a PNW caravan forming.

Sweet! We'd love to see you west coasters again!
