Tdi tuning box’s?!

I was looking at tunes and seen tdi tuning makes a tuning box … has stages for how aggressive or not you want to drive .. have anybody tried these on a 2013 ish Jetta tdi and know if it’s worth buying and if so what are the limits ?things I should know ? Do first ? Cars completely stock and my first diesel….

I had one years ago on a PD100. It simply sat between the main loom and the injector loom. If the ECU was saying 20degrees duration it would just use a multiplier say 1.2 and give 24 degrees. So more fuel.

The limitation was not altering turbo boost. So everything got a little smokier.

I presume that a 2011 is common rail. So it will work a little different and probably just increase the PWM to the injector so you get more fuel. I doubt it is increasing boost

They are probably good for "Stage 1"

Most people here would just recommend getting a tune. Which will net you more power and less smoke
