TDI Powerbox - glow plug light flash?

Have just installed and adjusted a Powerbox on my Passat 110 Tdi.

On the box there is 3 adj. points which are very similar to the ones i have read about her before.

But, when the engine is cold, and I start it, the glow plug light starts flashing, and the errorsystem registers an error on the dieselpump.
I have adjusted down the "S" (The one in the middle) screw untill the glow plug light has disapeared, but the car doesn`t go quite as good as it did whith the light flashing.

What is this, and am I doing the adjustment right by turning down the "s" screw?
(The "s" screw adjustment was a suggestion from the dealer)
Had to turn it 1 1/2 round before the light stopped.

Have anyone here seen this, and know why the glow plug light flashes?

Howard, read the thread I started under New Powerbox---it works. My powerbox is made by Alpin and there was an adjustment box that went inline while I was adjusting the trim pots I, S and T. T is for Turbo range, S was for suction range and I was for the final adjustment(that was all it said).
When I has the adjustment box inline, the glowplug light kept flashing and the check engine light stayed on. After the adjustments are made, you remove the adjustment box---the glow plug light went back to normal operation but the check engine light stayed on. Just before I went in for the 5K service, I removed the powerbox and I thought the check engine light went out.
When I went to pick up the car they told me the check engine light had been on because of three error codes---they were pretty huffy about it. Evidently any adjustment made WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING triggers error codes. The light was out and when I reinstalled the powerbox, it stayed out.
