Hello all,

I'm new to the forum. Semi-retired with time on my hands. I have a 2004 Jetta GLS (BEW) that starts but is blowing oil out the exhaust and is now leaking from the engine. I used to have VAG-COM and I am going to get a new battery and check codes but I'm reluctant to turn it over due to oil. Any suggestions? Does anyone know of a GURU in the Buffalo area I could reach out to directly?

Sounds like your turbo is toast. There’s a guy in Corning and another in Waterloo/Geneva neither of which is very close to you.

If you’re blowing oil out the exhaust you can’t drive it, I wouldn’t even start it for fear of hydro lock.
