It is Hevster1. I wouldn't allow him to touch any of my vehicles ever again. He thinks that these cars are "POS's" as evidenced here:
http://autos.dir.groups.yahoo.com/group/VW-TDI/message/23258?var=1

And here:

His mistakes are many and it almost became comical with my 7 trips back to him for what started out as a compressor replacement.
If you do two searches on this site for threads he's started, and threads he's participated in, you will notice how he has many articles on bad customers, bad vendors, he wanted to remove himself and everything he ever wrote on the site. If it isn't that, it's constant self promotion and how great he is as a mechanic. He goes around to internet forums of different kinds and changes his profile to fit the audience as seen here.

He started his damage control campaign by having all his happy customers say how wonderful he is. Not cool. All he had to do was admit that he screwed my car up on multiple upon multiple trips to his shop and I would have left it at that. But he had to make it look like I had something to do with the results of his handiwork. 14 years with TDis and I've never been this annoyed and aggravated with a mechanic.

Keep in mind, if I had time everyday to post on forums, my shop must not be busy...
Not really fair... there's at least one honest-to-goodness GURU who finds enough spare time to contribute on a regular basis... Perhaps he's able to work really quickly... (I'm thinking of Oilhammer, BTW...)

Well.....I hate these kinda threads. As a vendor and a tech I dont like reading of unhappy people. I think a Google MAPs rating thing would work best. But thats just me. O and Powerstroke Staten Island isnt to far from me or meganuke ;)

I just went and looked at all of the links, and all but one or two of them, he has posted less than 10 times.. The other ones were less than 20 posts.. The yahoo groups posts are from 2006 LOL..

As a tech, I've had to join several forums just to view posts and attachments while trying to diagnose random problem vehicles, so I have a ton of completely different profiles (lots of fake cars) that I use to log in and post on assorted forums.. I would just use the same info I use here, but people tend to not take you seriously if you don't own one of the vehicles the forum is about.. Kind of like if someone posts on this forum and had no TDI.. They get written off as not knowing anything, even if they are a very competent tech..

Good point! It seams every time I go to post in for help, one of them has beat me to it!

But, after having my actual "shop" open for 9 months, we are expanding into the building next to us. We are booking appointments 3 weeks in advance. My family only sees me 3-4 hours a day during the week. I would love to help, but my local VW/Audi/TDi community needs me desperately!
