TDI Guru Bozeman

Hey my name is Robert, I have a close friend who's 21 year old son is moving to Bozeman on Sunday. He is starting a new job at the local TV station as a reporter.
I put him in a 03 Tdi with a slush box transmission that we pulled out of the local junkyard when he was 16.
The car has served him well. Car now has 311000.

Obviously I can no longer keep an eye on this car. I am asking for some help finding someone to help maintain this old girl, without breaking the bank for my young friend.

I’m no guru, but know my way around a MK4 TDI pretty well (currently have 3 in the family). If there’s anything specific that needs to be checked out feel free to reach out. I have a VCDS too, so can pull codes out or check diagnostic info.

Hey thanks for the reply back. I sure appreciate the offer to help.

The old girl made made it to Bozeman without a hitch. That was the biggest hurdle. I did a fair bit of work to it before leaving, so I hope that keeps the car in good shape for a while. If something happens I will get in touch.

If the slush box goes bad the car will be up for grabs.
