Ok I know many are excited by the fancy spring ones.

But what about going with new OEM mounts for engine and tranny side, and use it in conjunction with bfi stge1 dogbone ? Does anyone see any problem with this approach? I use it as daily driver, and need new mounts asap, was thinking the poly dogbone would tigten it up just a bit but nothing much. After careful condiferation not really interested in going BFI on all 3 mounts - just the dogbone -- I just dont want excessive vibe in cabin, and thought the oem engine mounts and bfi dogbone would be a good compromise... has anyone done this?
Im running stock mounts with an HPA Dura 75 i think for the pendulum. Vibrations are not to bad. Definitely brings out some rattles. Mainly in the dash on mine.

I would go as stiff as possible on the dog and trans mounts

The engine mount in a stage 1 is already very stiff.

A Delrin stage 3 dogbone and trans. mount would be awesome in my opinion
I'm still getting some wheel hop even with the stage 2

Of course colder weather = stiffer mounts anyways. In the winter, my rearview mirror vibrates a good bit :)

Same here. Vibrations are tolerable except when rolling from a stop in first gear. I can deal with the vibrations, but the deafening sound at idle is pretty bad on my JSW. The interior cabin has so much more air than the jetta and gti due to the additional (and exposed) trunk space that the vibrations cause such a deep rumble /drone that it's unbearable. I'm going to let the HPA mount break in for another few hundred miles and see what happens. I will most likely go back to the stock dogbone mount.

I have DLI mounts in my mk4 1.8t with BFI stage 2 dogbone inserts (the oblong bushings) and Vibra-Technics cylindrical insert.
I read your, Torx, review on the DLI mounts and they seem ideal. I also watched, or listened rather, to your video (rah). I don't think I, or the wife (it is her car) would mind in the least with the increase in NVH.
I was thinking about doing something along the lines of what I did to my mk4 to her CR JSW. DLI motor and trans mount with Vibra-Technics dogbone insert.
I read in here that the DLI mounts were a different height that the OEM mounts. Does anybody know if what I want to do will work?
I was also going to get a Fluidamper crank pulley to help with the NVH, just for funzies.

Well, I've taken apart my spare stock engine mount, and am going to try filling the thing with RTV or something. Had some sort of water soluble goop in the bottom of it.
For what that's worth.

Just not one to dump 200 bucks into engine mounts. I'll run limit chains before then.
