tdi error code 16764

After just changing my timing belt 2 days ago I get the code 16764 and my book doesn't have that listed . Could some please shed a little light on dilema. Thanks so much Ole Goat

Uppsss, this code is the dreaded "Timing belt not installed correctly, at least one of your valves has been damaged" !

Sorry, just kidding :)

This code is because of something with your glow plugs. Check them, and also their wiring.

yup airliner is right do a glowplug 101 on them and that should track down the problem then clear the code.

THANKS ALOT, I had to wait five minutes for my heart to start again. I thought my worst fears had been realised, (bent a valve). I do appreciate the info, thanks so much. Ole goat
