TB change in tacoma /seattle areas?

any expierence with dealers/independent shops?
I have an '01 with 53K. Will dealer replace with the 80K upgrade? I am still under warranty. what cost? Thanks

I agree, get in touch with Pete a.k.a. Drivbiwire. The man works wonders.
My suggestions...buy a complete timing belt kit, the one from DieselGeek.com is a pretty good one, and have Pete install it.

There is a thread going about a
Get ToGether(GTG) next month in which Pete will be there. There is also a thread going about members from the Washington/Canada area that will be caravaning down to Portland for the GTG.

This question has come up before.
At least there is one other shop (Midland Automotive in Tacoma) that's been recommended. I would still buy the kit from DieselGeek or Harvieux .
I don't think you'll here anything but praise when comes to a DBW timing belt change. But it's a long way to LeGrande OR.
[I have no first hand experience with Midland Auto. I'm just passing along info.]
