Taz-
Any problems finding your car under the snow? One reason I stayed away from white since it will turn brown during the winter from the road salt and sand here in Maine.

Nice shack too.

Hey TazzMan, really nice photos but where is the glacier??? You've gotta post some pics of your hidden white Jetta TDI under the weight of the snow and ice with a solid block of diesel fuel in the tank!!!! LOL

Lemmie know when you bail out and need a place on the beach in the sun!!!LOLOLOL

BTW, what kind of snow & ice tires are you running? They don't lool OEM stock!

Just teasing, I know that you love it up there! Some winter pics would be great so we'd know what we are missing!!!hehehehee

Re: Tazz\'s TDI

As usual it takes awhile to figure out what these cagey Canadaians have been up to in the Great White North on the edge of the Artic Circle.
It is obivious from Tazz's pics that I am on to his kewl plans. That white A4 TDI Jetta is simply a high economy camoflaged Snow Goose blind that Tazz uses for calling in the geese like a giant decoy. He probably has some black wings he puts on it after it is parked to attract Canadian Geese to his Jetta! Being white, mobile and super high economical operation is a big bonus when calling in the Snow Geese. I bet he even has replaced the electric horns with an electric GOOSE CALL!

LOL

Re: Tazz\'s TDI

Ann, I previously owned a white A2 Jetta for about 12 years (named ‘Snow White I’). This showed me that white was by far the best color for not showing dirt. Winter is hard with sand and salt, but salt dries white. If you think white might be bad you should try a dark color. After the white Jetta, I looked for a white Accord. Could not find one, so I settled on a dark-green metallic one. What a contrast! When washed it looked great, but even sitting in my carport undriven for a couple of days would result in a layer of atmospheric dust that was very noticeable. And driving it on dry winter roads for a day would result in the sides being filthy white with salt dust. Before I parted with the old Jetta, I had not washed it in 9 months. It looked cleaner than the Accord did after 2 hours of driving.

My salesman who sells a lot of Jettas has only sold one other white one. He sympathized perfectly with me when I said I only want white, since his wife has an A3 white Jetta. He says most new VW owners don't realize how nice white is. When I took the car back to show him after tinting, wheels, etc. he spent ½ hour ogling it.

One other thing. White is very easy to touch up. With a lot of colors (especially metallic paints) you can never match them perfectly. You notice the dots all over the car. Ugh!

Soon to be posting ‘Snow White II’ pix. White must be a Canadian thing! (It’s not that we love the color of snow.)
