Swap and tune issues

Hello all,
I'm new to here and to the TDI.
I am a highly certified Toyota tech.
So I'm not a beginner or weekend wrench.
I just got my first tdi after working on a friend's fleet of tdi cars.
It's an 00 golf .
I've done a full turbo back 2.5 straight exhaust.
I've swapped out the auto for a 5 speed from a jetta.
Couple issues.
1) I cannot get speedo to work.
2) I want to recode for manual transmission

I have the free version of vag com. I'm willing to pay for the full version if it will do what I need.

Recode isn't necessary, all it really does is turn off the PRND21 on the dash, as for the speedo it's a direct plug in from the auto to manual. Same connector. If it's not working, do you have codes for it?
