The cover has posts that press into the part, spreading the anchors like a drywall anchor. IIRC it is on there pretty good, but can be pried off. The cover can be reused and the part should be around $8-10.

I just replaced this. I bought 2 off ebay so I would have an extra. It took 2-3 months for the parts to get here from China.
It was not clear from the add that I was buying 2 (instead of 1), so I ended up with 4 and now have 3 spares.
You have to look really closely at how the 2 pieces fit together so you can pry them out easily. I didn't and ended up just breaking the cover apart to remove it. I think it was a bit easier to just break the old part rather than fuss to remove it.

replaced both of mine. I took a jewelers file and filed down small bump the visor snaps over, so they pull out easier, and hopefully don't break again. Seems to work good bump filed down some.
