Hey all,
I drove my normal route home tonight like always and made it home just fine. However, when I went out to a neighbors to cut wood, I noticed the Jetta had a severe vibration when letting off the accelerator.
Being concerned, I pulled over to make sure I didn't have a flat or lose something and that was not the case; appears all is normal under the car.
I cut wood for a while and then headed back home and it was still there.
Here are the times when the car vibrates the worst:
decelerating
decelerating down hill(without braking)
decelerating into a right hand corner
Times when it improves:
accelerating
accelerating into a right corner
cornering to the right (Accelerate or decelerate doesn't matter)
braking up or down hill or on level
A few things to note:
I changed the control arm bushings last week TT rears and stock fronts (Thursday night)
I had new tires put on the car on Monday (two rims)
I had an alignment on Monday
Tire place informs me the rims the two new tires are on are bent (Car has a little vibration)
I replace the most bent with my steel wheel (runs much smoother)
That is it in a nutshell.
Any thoughts or suggestions on things to check?
Thanks,
Christian
