Have a malone stage 1 on the old ALH, and literally 2 days after I put the tune on, a co-worker gives me a set of brand new bosch DSLA 150P520 nozzles (I believe they are .205).

To throw these on with the stage 1 tune on board would have to be a bad idea correct? As I imagine stage 1 is pretty well maxing out whatever injector nozzles the injectors are currently wearing? Correct?

Not silly over the top smoke? And with the hammer mod I should be able to keep the stockish clutch from ****ting the bed in a hurry?

I would guess any more increase of power will help the clutch on its way out. Depending all on how you drive it of course. Most people get more power and use it though.

HI,

As far as mods that add power, I have basically have what you have and maybe a bit more and as far as I know I have never slipped the clutch (with upwards of 400K on it). However, I don't go full throttle (or maybe even super hard on the throttle) at low RPM either.

In short, I think a car can be highly modded for power and IF you don't go too crazy with the throttle you should be OK clutch wise .... of course the side benefit of mods and NOT using the power is often BETTER MPG than stock ( originally I averaged about 47 MPGs in the driving I did / do BUT after mods my average MPG is way up .... changes cost $$ BUT most were done as parts wore out and needed to be replaced anyways so the actual "extra cost" was not as bad looked at that way ( the cost differential between stock replacement costs VS the extra cost of the performance parts).

Happy modding!

To be clear the clutch is not slipping now. But I know it will at some point. If I was hell bent for leather I would be throwing much larger nozzles in there, and planning for a clutch...but I just happened upon these and they are not too much bigger than stock?

At 100k miles I put a Stage 3 tune with .205 nozzles and at 150k I pulled the tranny for a starter issue, and not a bit of slip.
