I've got all the stuff to replace the struts on my wife's 14 beetle. My question is I have found nothing that shows the process surprisingly there is no YouTube. My question do axles and stuff need pulled to get clearance? I don't remember having to on my 2002 when I had it. I don't remember fighting with it much. Any help appreciated just want to have any idea how much of a pain it will be before I get into it. Thanks.

I hope it's that easy but hoped I wouldn't have to pull ball joints and stuff.

There are just too many to list....
The ball joints just bolt on, easy to remove from the control arm. And usually on the NCS cars (which your Beetle is based upon), the control arm bushings are shot before the struts are anyway. The whole suspension comes apart super easy. A spreader tool makes sliding the strut out of the carrier much easier.
