I am in the process of changing all 4 Glow Plugs on my 02 Golf. The car has been hard to start this winter and all 4 GP's are bad. I have 290K miles on the car and 2 of the GP's are the original ones. On removal, 3 of the plugs came out easy but one of the original ones came out hard. On that one it looks like the threads galled and stripped the threads out in the head.
Any suggestions on head repair, heli-coil sources, what to do/not do would be appreciated. This car is wife's daily driver so I need to get it back on the road asap.
