Hello,

this problem has been haunting us for a year-ish. but no codes or errors of any kind. VW were baffled with their ODIS.

we can start the car just fine, just keyless itself are the issue.

here's the videos, you could hear the constant beeping like if the key is in the ignition but it isn't.....

scanned it via OBD11 last Saturday and finally this shows up,

code 00456

yes I already replaced the battery on both keyless FOBs. I tried it with tune my euro laptop loaner to re-program the car with the keyless fobs. Zero changes.

Hence why VW was baffled with their ODIS as the car and keyless system never responded to them.

Bad ignition switch? Car thinks it’s on with the key in it and won’t allow the remotes to work. Just like when the car is running and the remotes don’t work.

Yep it was the danged ignition switch.

Now everything is working as it should.

No more chiming sounds. Couldn’t work on the car as girlfriend drives it every single days including the weekends. Easter day was the best time to do it and done.
