Stopped by MOE

So I've heard of the stories from previous threads and you never thought it would happen but I finally got stopped by the ministry of environment today and got ticketed and was given a time frame to return my emissions back to OEM

Nope not even... The mk7 tdi even modified there very little black smoke


He said he got me from the sound of the exhaust because all deleted diesels have a distinct sound

Modified and louder than stock exhausts attract the MOE.

What happens in this time frame? Who inspects to see if returned to stock?

I'm driving a x5 that has everything deleted. Would really suck if I was pulled over.

Same officer will inspect the car to insure its compliance within the time frame im given to return to stock.

It was me returning to work from lunch in Pickering

Got a few messages from others telling me about friends etc that have also been stopped. They were not as lucky as they had plates pulled on the spot

Many years ago when I had a 2002 I removed the muffler (Mufflerectomy). After two years I and any passengers were sick and tired of the constant droning from a standing start.
Added a straight through muffler and that solved my problem. Car exhaust also was quiet.

i have a 13 jetta deleted with the factory muffler
you can definitely hear the turbo while idling not sure just adding a muffler would help.
gonna have to be careful where im driving...

i just saw your instagram you had quad tips and a huge and loud exhaust. not surprised he stopped you.if i delete ill do it as quiet as i can and remove the TDI badge from my car. maybe even put the "2.5" on lol

Sorry to hear about this!
I have a resonator with my buzzken exhaust. Has a little whistle at idle but it’s not too loud. Car doesn’t smoke unless I really step on it hard. I also don’t have any stickers or aftermarket exhaust tips to draw attention. I heard they are cracking down on the big rigs but this is the first time I heard of a car getting caught.

Better go with a Hybrid or e-Golf badge just to be safe.

no kidding haha best is to use a buzzken exhaust with a resonator and have them do the tune, very clean and no smoke and quiet pretty much as quiet as stock no one will know its deleted.
