Steering Wheel/Bluetooth

I've read through all the pages and am overwhelmed with information! I have a 2010 TDI Sportwagen no option car. That means 6 disc/Satellite Radio and no bluetooth and no steering wheel controls. I would like to upgrade to put the buttons on my wheel and add Bluetooth. Is there any consolidated info dump anywhere? Anticipated cost and part numbers from the stealer?

I think I would ask "Mr. Timewise". I think he changed his steering wheel and he seems to know just about everything about bluetooth, steering wheels, multifunction displays, and coding.

How did you get one of these? everybody told me the 2010 JSW TDI came fully optioned....

I have a 9w2 bluetooth, with roof buttons that I'd be willing to part with... 15 bucks shipped.

Your post says 2010 JSW but your sig line says 2009; which is it? I believe all 2010 JSW TDIs should have basic Bluetooth for handsfree but no synching for contacts, messaging, etc. Mine has no-nav audio w/Bluetooth. Do you have the BT roof panel above the RV mirror? Have you tried to link your phone to the car? The option radio adds Navigation and more BT features.

2010 has steering wheel controls and 9W2 bluetooth. Not the best but very easily swapped out for a 9W3 or 9W7.

Are you sure you don't have an '09? Do you have a red MFD or white. Red display ('09) has less options -- you can swap out wheel and add controls, but it will not interface with MFD.

Personally, if I had an '09 I'd look into aftermarket stuff.
