STARTING TO STINK

01 Jetta with 7K miles is starting to smoke (white) and stink on cold start. This is much more than when new. What could be possible problem?

could be a batch of winterized fuel and lower temperatures?

i get a slightly more "aromatic" and smokier start these cooler mornings here with "normal" fuel and it's still way more warm here than in your location.


what do the Fuels & Lubricant wizards say?

In cold weather, it is smokier and smellier upon startup, and for a half minute or so. In fact, in the winter I try to park so I can drive away from, instead of backup through that little cloud.
