So, I would like clarification. I am working on a 2013 Passat TDI DSG and am considering installing a transmission from a 2015 Passat TDI DSG with the goal of gaining a more favorable final drive ratio and the resulting higher fuel mileage at highway speeds. I see the mention of a Jetta transmission instead of a Passat. What is the significance or difference between a 2015 Jetta TDI DSG and 2015 Passat TDI DSG? I might actually buy a 2015 TDI DSG transmission and give it a try if I am confident that the gear ratios are favorable and that it will swap in without hassles other than possibly a new DSG tune.

All of that is irrelevant to what I asked and the supreme piston tech that we are discussing.
Did the diesel fuel in the stock dyno pull burn faster than the diesel fuel in the SoA pull?
Were the dimples that improve power\efficiency\egt\fuel atomization\etc only doing all those things sub 3.8K rpm and I missed that in their claims?
I understand that you bought into all the hype, but there doesn't appear to be much supporting evidence around.
Soon I will have a 2013 TDI reassembled and reinstalled in a VW Passat and will have some actual real life results to share. I completely agree that less hype and more demonstrable and repeatable data is needed. So, more data is coming right up within a couple more weeks.

I know my sisters 15 passat transmission code is PGN, but never got to drive it to see if when at 2k rpm what was the speed was at.

How is it going? interested in what results you find.
