Southern convoy to BIO GTG

There seem to be enought people starting from Portland to start a convoy going north. Start in Portland (9:00) and stop in Olympia (11:00), Tacoma(11:45) on to Seattle (12:30)? We could start a little earlier and have breakfast in Olympia, lunch in Tacoma or Seattle ??.

I would like to be in Seattle by 12:00 ready to go at 12:30 - not arriving at 12:30.

So I propose we start a bit earlier, like 30 minutes or so. I'll be meeting you guys in Tacoma/Fife (Poodle Dog?), assuming we can still arrive w/ time to spare. Eating can occur once in Seattle - from what I gathered, there are a few shops in the immediate vacinity.

From Tacoma caravan from Poodle Dog in Fife sounds good to me. What time should I be there? Figure another 30-45 minutes to get to GTG; 1130 too early?

Now that we're in Yelm we'll want to meet in Olympia somewhere. The Oly Biodiesel Collective people that will be coming may want to join in the caravan so this Sunday I'll get a head count and report back to this page.

Where were you thinking of meeting in Oly Heinz?

We could meet up at Hawks prairie restaurant for the Olympia and Oregon folks at about 10:30

(I-5 north / Exit #111 - If coming from the south stay on your right at the off ramp / go straight thru the roundabout and go thru the stop light - we will be at the truck stop pumps on your left)

and at the rest stop north of Fife at 11:15 to put us into Seattle at 12:00.
Both places are easy on / off I-5.

I am up for a caravan starting somewhere in the Portland metro area. Thoughts Portlanders/Oregonians?

Vancouver Mall @ 8am sounds like a reasonable alternative as well (DBW suggestion above).

If someone in the know could post a link or address to the Vancouver Mall, there're around 4-5 CA TDIs that'll be making the trip up for this GTG. We're spending the night (I hope) on Columbia Blvd. off I-5 in northeast PDX.

We look forward to meeting up with our PNW brothers and sisters..

I will be at the IHOP at the Vancouver mall probably at 7:00 am (maybe earlier) on Sunday. I will plan on heading out at 8:30 am sharp to meet up with Heinz.

If somebody does not mind bring the direction to the meeting point at Heinz's place.

I will see you guys at the IHOP on Sunday and I will try and check in with you guys at least once before then.

Hey, does anybody have Pete's (Drive By Wire) or Heinz's address? I'm trying to get some parts (water pump and screws, etc.) sent up that way from Jim Royston at Diesel Geek in order to do the timing belt swap but it's kinda hard to get the stuff sent up that way when I don't know of any addresses to send the stuff to. I gotta have the info by tomorrow around 5:00 am or I can forget about changing the belt up there. Click on the little e-mail envelope thingy icon up on top of this post and send me the info if you're in the know. I'd be most appreciative of the information.
