Thanks to everyone who came out. Guess I scared some folks off with my surgery.
We should do it again next year without unexpected internal organ failure precluding some semblance of of organization and planning on my part.
It was good too meet all you guys and see some crazy mods (I never get to see cars like those)!

Yes it was fun, thanks Robby for hosting this. We ended up staying until 9pm, I rolled into my stable shortly after midnight.
It was great to meet new faces, see old faces, talk diesel, talk projects, ride in Steve's new 3.0TDI Touareg, take some fast rides and just hang out together.
So, when are we meeting next? I should have my new house with new shop by the end of the month, maybe it can be at my place next time..

I only caught the very end as I had to work until 6pm. My barrage of Newb questions were answered patiently and with enthusiasm from just a small group still hanging out. I WILL have a golf TDI before the end of the year...hopefully sooner!

Sorry Jeremiah, I was hoping to send out an email. Perhaps we'll have another one this Summer with more of a TDI focus. This one was just sort of piggy backed on my shopmate's annual party.

Running great; Had to pull the pump AGAIN and get it rebuilt AGAIN. Bought a bunch of tools and did all the work myself. Took care of all my oil leaks and replaced all the fuel lines, new check valves; Deleted that crazy mk2 rear water separator, and put in new injectors while I was at it. Cheapo ones, but they're new at least. Only real problem left is leaky power steering... but its been like that since I've had the car. You should still come out to the Draught House one week. Someone just picked up a MK6 Diesel in the group...runonbeer said:

I KNEW there was somthing fishy with that pump!!! They don't jump 100 degrees out of time for no reason.

We replaced the main pump housing due to scoring and the drive shaft bore out of spec now. replaced all other parts needed to bring your pump back to spec

I always hear one of my friends having so much fun at his Honda meets that I thought I would try this out myself. Of course I'm all about my car, I love her. Had to get her rebuilt but she runs beautifully. Named her "Perla". Anyway I was wondering if there were any GTG coming up?
