As I said, all are welcome. I can't promise that the beer will be any good. This will be the first brew on my system in a year or two of disuse.

Parking may also be an issue as this would effectively merge three events on my little strip of gravel.

Yes. It's no problem. We can just spread out down the driveway

If necesarry we could park some overflow in the onion creek ballroom parkinglot around the corner and shuttle them back.

I also would prefer to not be underneath a car the entire time, but it doesn't sound like too many folks were looking to have work done.

as a side note, there will be a party/art show at my shop on April 10th. There will be BBQ, and hopefully some of my homebrewed beer (brewery under construction). The woman in the space next to me is an artist (and sign maker, she did all the signage for my shop) and hosts this party every year in conjunction with my shopmate's customer appreciation party. All are welcome. Directions on my website.

APRIL 10th, very nice...!

Robbie, count me in for now!
1. driver door handle, 2. vacuum actuator fix, 3. maybe N75?

Warmer weather but not too hot, just right for good beer and a bunch of Diesel smelling "gear-heads".

Far enough away yet close enough to actually make it in ONE tank!
(Variant, ya know...)

Haha Lol. I'm doing the MS150 again this year so I'll be making to Austin a week and a day late... on my bike. Maybe next time.

David: make my (our) day and have that beast of a Jetta with you in full dress mods....:D
I plan on it. I need to get some stronger hardware on the head to keep from lifting it. With 35+ psi and oem head bolts, I'm blowing all my coolant out on a hard run  Time to give ARP a call.

Sounds like a fun idea! I bet Bikeprof would join in.

Hmm, I can tell someone is talking about me!

MS150 @ this moment is like riding a bike with square wheels and you don't want me to do that, do you?
I think that maybe it could be for next year???????
Have done the MS thing 12 times, I could help, may I be the trainer tand hat way I could wear the red patrol jersey(yuck!)?

I have some SIDI size 47 white shoes for sale that are ROAD, they are in great shape and for sale..., anyone need them?

Steve, call me: 713-382-0344 new cell

How late will everyone be there? My son has a soccer game in the morning, so I can't get to Austin until 4:00. Is this too late?

I'm guessing that TDI people will start showing up around noon. The party will basically go on all night so stay as late as you like.

The beer is bubbling in the fermentor as I type this:D

If this is to be a "help your fellow TDI'r" GTG, I can use some assistance with a 5th gear swap in our new used 2001 Jetta. I will have the swap parts/etc but my old body is not as flexibe as it used to be.

Is this doable?

Boy, that's a tall order. I'll decline from undertaking that job under the circumstaces but I'd be happy to tackle it another time.

Honestly with the variety of attendees I'd like to avoid being under a car the whole time (especially after about 5 o'clock). I could probably handle easy stuff like a timing belt or two, intake swap, pump seal, injectors etc. But I view this as more of a social event rather than a more work oriented "TB GTG."
granted, doing 5-6 timing belts in one day is fun, but I generally feel pretty ragged for the next couple of days following.

I've got another 10 gallons bubbling in the fermentor now. Hopefully today I'll get to shoot out an email to all my customers and really pack 'em in here:eek:

should I start some kind of list of attendees? A new thread perhaps?

I have had a schedule change at work; it would be 5PM before I could arrive.

My car is still under warranty, and I don't plan on modding it at this time. I just want to ogle the mods of other TDI'rs.

and sample the brew ;-}

I will be coming to the event and will bringing my qloader. So if anyone is wanting a tune I will be available to take care of you. If you are sure you will want a tune please let me know in advance so I can plan accordingly. If you decide you want a tune the day of the event then that is ok as well. I will be bringing my 03 golf, see yu'all there.

Got an intake manifold swap scheduled for 10am for any one who wants to show up early and observe.

PP520 injector install at 12:30

trying hard to get an email out to all my customers but I've done a poor job of organizing and categorizing my contacts.

Really looking forward to it!

I have been told that Robby had his appendix burst and is in the hospital. So hopefully Robby will have a speedy recovery. I will update as I hear more about his condition. Not sure what this does to the gtg but I am still coming to Austin for the weekend. If Robby isn't able to be there maybe we can find another location to just meet up and hang out. I will be staying in Round Rock but I don't know Austin very well so maybe some locals can make some suggestions for a possible alternate gtg location, just in case Robby hasn't recovered by this weekend. Let's keep Robby in our thoughts and wish him well.
