Both the futures market and the local terminal prices suggest that prices at the pump should fall back by 8-10 cents/gallon.

I didn't need to fuel up, but Hy-Vee in Osage beach Missouri, right at the lake of the Ozarks, had diesel for $2.89.

$3.309 per gallon at my local Mobil. RUG was $3.179. Super a jaw-dropping $3.899. Glad my son is driving the chipped Audi A4 tqm that I used to drive!

Why you gotta post that! :)

Nothing under $4 locally, but yea this is why I pro-actively went out and got this thing. Capable of just about twice the miles per dollar as my other options. Even at 4+ I think I still spend more on non-fuel vehicle costs versus fuel.

Filled up at $4.428 here in California's East Bay. Jealous of all y'all with sub-3 prices and roads that are worth a damn.

Saw this today:

Been a while since I've seen RUG and Diesel at the same price.
Interesting here they have been floating about the same all summer. Some places have made a recent jump in diesel to $3.20, but i've been getting mine for $2.89-2.99 all summer.

We just did the hurricane climb for both rug and diesel. When they're forecasting rough weather from Texas to NC, they shut down the pipeline for several days to a week. Only effects NC and SC availablity and therefore pricing. Everything climbed about 30 cents and topped out around $3.00 for both. Noticed yesterday that rug has started back down but diesel is still at $2.89. I've got about a quarter of a tank in the truck and half in the wagen, so hoping it continues to slide down through the week.

I think if you add inflation to the prices from page one they wont be far from todays prices. Compared to many other things the price of fuel hasn't changed much.

Jelous of your low price on fuel by the way :giggle:

It's all in the taxes. Cost of fuel around the globe has stayed extremely low but each country and/or state has to add on.

Californians are used to high fuel prices. Lots of taxes there, different summer blends for unleaded...crazy expensive compared the rest of the country.

I'm still pretty full at only 50 miles on my tank, but Diesel is $0.02/gal cheaper than Regular at the local Exxon, $0.01/gal cheaper at the local Shell. About $4.59/gal at most stations.
