You beat me to that correction . Second again! :p

Kind of makes our $4 plus here in Southern Califonia seem like a really good deal, what?

For some strange reason, a BP station down the road has diesel at $3.499, where most other stations here in SE Michigan are at least $3.75. In fact, there is another BP station only 1 mile away and it is $3.899, a full $0.40 more!

A Mistake

Might we gather that someone at that station made a
costly mistake when they posted their new pricing?

I will bet that when you check back the next time you
are in that area, that low low price will be no more!

The next price change will be higher. As long as K'Daffy hold half of Libya and the rebels hold the other half, prices are likely to trend higher.

If you get a chance, check the pumps and see if the price matches another grade of fuel. I've seen a few stations accidentally price diesel the same off-road for on road, or ULSD for premium. I filled up at a Shell recently that priced their D2 the same as premium, which put them a good 10 cents under the next closest competitor. The change was rectified the day after I topped up. ;)

Sometimes I've even seen midgrade and premium priced the same, or midgrade and regular the same. There's probably been some cases of diesel getting priced at regular unleaded's cost, but that's a big jump that would likely be taken care of rather quick!

Petrol and diesel are sharply higher again today in Baldwin County, Alabama. RUG is $3.449 (up 15¢ since yesterday) and D2 is $3.579-3.899 (up just a few pennies overall.)

$4.21 for sure. Regular gas $3.75. One day diesel will go down in price when renewable energy resource from farts power the cars.

No, that is £5 per standard US gallon, and the British pound is trading at about $1.63.

So about $8.15 per US gallon.
Forgot to factor in exchange rate! I am kind of embarrassed haha

Shell in Long Beach, CA (Atherton & Palo Verde) has Regular Gasoline for $3.839, Premium Gasoline $4.039 and ULSD for $4.199.

Unleaded to Diesel: 36 cents
Premium Gasoline to Diesel: 16 cents

ARCO in Costa Mesa, CA (Newport Blvd & Baker) has Regular Gasoline for $3.699, Premium Gasoline $3.889 and ULSD for $3.959.

Unleaded to Diesel: 26 cents
Premium Gasoline to Diesel: 7 cents

Just filled up @ $3.99/gallon; I did see it yesterday as high as $4.49/gallon.
Where will it end? We should actually not be complaining since 2 weeks ago in Italy to fill up a compact car I paid $85.00 or $6.86/gallon.

Paid $3.999 just this Afternoon in Southern California

:)

Talking with the owner at his Arco on Graham Street in Lake Elsinore, he indicated
that he was about to go up, but had not decided by how much yet.

Other Arcos nearby were as high as $4.299, so I did well I thought.

Don't expect to be able to do that for some time to come, if ever! :(

Well, that's what I kind of thought. But today, that station is still $3.499 and all the others are still $3.75 or more. Maybe I'll call them and find out what's up. They are definitely out of whack, but that's what they're selling it for!

Dallas / Fort Worth area I've seen prices range from $3.35 to $3.79 a gallon. I thought I had it bad, but it appears that other state have it worse.... but then again with my Suburban I'm getting about 10 MPGs...

Did a return trip PEI-Ontario this week. In summer I can fill on PEI (cheaper) and avoid New Brunswick and especially *gasp!* Quebec or Nova Scotia prices entirely, by getting at least 1150-1250 km on the tank. In winter the margin is closer, so I usually top up somewhere in New Brunswick to be safe. Diesel price in NB was $131.9 Litre at big market stations--which is about $4.85 US per US gallon, so I am glad I filled at $1.19.1 on the Island as I left. Regular gas in Quebec in the Montreal area *started* at $1.34.9 and I never bothered to see the diesel prices, which are always higher with the 'seasonal oil furnace price surcharge'
