$3.37 in SC and $2.62 for rug. It's gone up about 30 cents since the presidential transfer of power. Can't wait to see how much it goes up this week with the added 10% on 60% of our oil import supply.

Welcome to isolationism.
I don't think the tariff war is going to hurt the fuel prices... south of the border, anyway. Canada really screwed itself by allowing so many refineries to close. We used to have over 30, and I think we're 6 or less now. And honestly, it's Trudeau's fault. If he'd taken leadership seriously and DEALT with the issues, primarily defence and border issues, we wouldn't be here. But instead he half resigned and called for a Liberal Party leadership race, instead of just quitting and calling an election so we'd have a fresh PM to deal with the issues at hand. If that isn't abrogation of leadership, I don't know what is.

Anyway... ;)

Diesel was $1.849/L in Victoria on Friday. Gas jumped 10 cents from Christmas to after new years, but diesel has pretty much held steady. 🤞

So US refineries will just eat a 10% increase in their input costs?

Irrelevant, since overall capacity has increased.

Most of the Jet A for Boston comes from New Brunswick. So maybe...

Fair enough... honestly, considering Mexico, I don't think this will go on for too long. Our economy is a drop in the bucket compared to the USA. Our "leaders" are just trying to look tough right now. We can't go toe to toe, and honestly, they know it. Fix defence and the border issues, and this stuff goes away. Too easy. But they like to make it harder than necessary.

Been watching pricing bounce all last week. Up 3 cents, up 10 cents, down 5 cents, down another 2 cents. I think it settled out about 4 cents higher for the week.

My usual stop for d2 is On The Fly chain..... that used to be Chuckles.... that used to be BP.
I seem to get best mpg and operation out of it so that is my goto.
I read about Countrymark diesel being fancy and tried theirs as there's one local, everyone else spiked to 3.90 they were still 3.70 so I tried a tank and noted 5 mpg less otherwise ran fine.
Plus the lift pump seemed to be louder/more gurgley with the Countrymark the deeper into the tank it got used.
Noticed one OTF location I pass each workday had it for 3.48 and grabbed a tank, way less lift pump gurgle and runs fine.
Who knows how much/if bio is in any dzl I tossed in the tank at any given pump, or what the cetane is, I've called and talked to managers at certain locations and no one can tell me anything other than it comes in on a tanker and goes into the ground, called one corp hq and the secretary said she had no clue. Fine then, keep your secrets.

I use to see those differences in my beetle when I used wal-mart diesel. Since the switch over to ulsd, I haven't noticed as much variation from brand to brand. Also, switched to the JSW so that dropped the mileage to the point that slight shifts in quality doesn't show.

Needed to fill the truck yesterday and noticed on the way to pick up the granddaughter, fuel was $3.33 and rug $2.67. Got fuel after dropping her off and a day of finding parks and bike trails. Fuel at the QT in Lake Wylie, SC had dropped 2 cents! Probably gave me another 1.3 ounces for the same price fillup.
