Diesel here jumped from $2.79 to $3.19. quite a sudden jump.

In my recent travels I went through Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada.

Prices were generally from just under $3/gal in Roswell, NM, to into the $4 range, up to about $4.29 at some places in Washington.

Generally, prices were between $3.17-3.89 in most places. I got fuel at a few places, Chevron, ONE9, Maverik and Sinclair. As I moved south, Chevron was generally at least 30 cents more than other places. Overall, car was running fine, didn't notice any major changes between suppliers.

It was $4.69 a gallon at the station where I normally fill a couple of weeks ago, it tends to fluctuate depending on the area but around $4.50 seems to be the average at the moment in the greater Seattle area

On a trip 12-31 to 01-11 from sw Indiana to Des Moines IA I noted prices (349 or so around here) dropping the closer I got to DM, a few tens of miles outside DM the norm was 319 and it could be found for that price inside DM too so that was nice. I timed it right as I left home before the first snow of any consequence and got back just as the next round was starting; from Carlock IL 200 miles to home it was 45mph whiteout, cars and trucks in ditches all over, but the golf made it for around 1300m of totally irresponsible wintery road adventure!
