Read their privacy policy; you're basically providing market research and data for them. Everything from credit card info and usage to location tracking, receipts, phone numbers, email addresses, the contacts in your phone, etc.
Remember the old adage: If you're using a product and not paying for it, YOU are the product.

Of course, everyone can make their own decisions, but it's good to know and be aware of exactly what you're providing and giving up in exchange for that "upside".

As for the price of diesel here in BC: Most commonly it's within $.01/L of RUG and most stations. $165.9/L seems to be the most common price on signs.

Maybe for the island. Leave the safety of your little rock and up in the interior it has been $0.20-30/L more than RUG for the last 2yrs or more.

Last night all 3 or our stations here were $0.30/L more @ $1.999-2.039/L for D2.

12 days and holding at $3.31 IN Lake Wylie, SC. I haven't found anything cheaper in my runs around the upstate but have seen stuff quite a bit more expensive. As much as 50 cents higher in the same county.

Good points. Of course Google, Facebook, Amazon, et Al do most of the same things and I'm still waiting on my first check from any of them.

Always good to be cautious when providing any information to anyone these days. In my case I have junk emails and ip phone numbers that get used for craigslist, and all this kind of stuff. They certainly do NOT get cc, bank or any other important info.

If they want to track where I'm buying fuel, more power to them. Google knows 100 times more just from my searches.

As everyone has said, go in to this and all similar things with your eyes open.

One station 20km from me right now has diesel at a $.30/L premium, while right in town, it's $1.649 / $1.659 for RUG/diesel. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

$4.45 at a cheap truck stop station in Ventura CA. My Beetle runs a A LOT better on it, though noisier when cold. Still going through this latest tank but my MPG should be a record on this tank too.

Strange that your diesel has been cheaper than ours for quite some time now, it’s been around $1.59/litre here lately, and it was already less than that in your area when I was out there a month ago.

Northern Vermont diesel dropped to $3.97 last week but reg. gas can still be had for $3.39. I'm not complaining, it's the least we've seen since Jan. 2021.
