Fuel prices

Fuel and rug prices directions fluctuating independently of each other, coffee prices stable for months

Back down to 5.72 for diesel in the pioneer valley in MA. Hitting 5.9x a couple weeks ago wasn’t too bad for me, but noticeable since the new-to-me ‘14 JSW is a lot thirstier than my old ‘05.0 Jetta.

Glad I’m down almost 500mi/wk after starting a new job in October. Get to switch to worrying about natural gas prices for winter heating instead

Still $5.59 at stations near me, haven’t dropped in weeks. Meanwhile, rug is up-down-up-down depending on the day of the week. Such a racket.

Noticed over the weekend that diesel has dropped a few cents and is at $4.99 in both SC and NC in the Charlotte area. That's unusual since SC still has lower taxes.

Well, this post has been up for awhile. It is now 11/25/22 and the price in Memphis, TN is $5.30. This is quite a rise from May 2002 of $2.90 reported above and 2.899 reirted ub 2005. Chuck Hanson

There was a graph showing that , on average, at the pump fuel prices have been at or below inflation adjusted prices for decades (relative to other commodities). I wonder how is this graph doing lately?

Filled up for $4.15 gallon today.

Diesel has dropped below $5.00/gal locally to $4.899.
Bought off road fuel for the tractor at $4.799. With all the road tax on regular diesel fuel you would think that off road dyed fuel would be a bit more difference than just 10 cents/gal.

5$ a gal here in Ark nov 21st,in sept I paid this much( give or take a few dimes ) on the way 2 and from buffalo Ny BUT in Tennessee mid state it was 3.89 at a station and of course I had already filled up but I was curious why so low there ?

Costco is done with Diesel sales here in Virginia as of October 31st. That vacuum seems to have made all of the other stations in the area shoot up in price.

At the BJ's in Seabrook NH it's $4.79 when using their credit card. The gas in that BJ's has driven down all the fuel prices in that town, competition is a beautiful thing.

None of our discount stores sell diesel in the Charlotte area. Local prices are around $4.49 to $4.89.

Just saw a sign at sunoco that had both rug and diesel at $3.659.

In my area of western SD (no....NOT San Diego), diesel fuel #2 (only God knows if it is "winterized" or not) (and, DEFINE winterized if you will) ranges from $3.99 to $4.69. WELL, this seems to raise hell with the steadfast concept that fuel places ONLY make 2 cents per gallon and make the bulk of their money selling Cokes and gutt-rot pizzas..................................

I continue to blend my own #1 and #2 fuel so that I KNOW if I will move when it is cold.

I just fueled up at the Shell station in Laurie Missouri for $3.69 a gallon. subtract the $.03 from Shell rewards and the $0.13 from Gasbuddy and the $0.11 per gallon back from upside and it brought it down even more.

$4.85 at Oxnard Calif Costco. As soon as you head south, the price jumps up to near and over $6.00. What a rip off. Costco is not selling at a loss.
