Sound Off on Current Diesel Price

You know you have been in Hawaii too long when you think 30 miles is far away

We learned early in moving to Charlotte to estimate that going anywhere starts at 30 minutes and goes up. Part of the reason that when the kids were still at home, we averaged 20K on both cars a year. Hard to visualize that 30 miles would seem far away.

Wow.

Tuesday I drove 80 miles roundtrip. For a hamburger.

But it was a really good burger.

(And diesel here in Baldwin County is $3.619-3.999, about the same as in Pensacola, where I went to get my burger fix.)

A week ago we were in Yellowstone, NP, and diesel at a station we made a non-fuel pit stop at was $4.669. In Western Wy is was running well over $4/gal. In Billings and Bozeman, MT, it was running $3.859 when I last checked.

Paid $3.59 tonight. Up a nickel in a week.

WTI crude has topped $110/barrel, and Brent is over $116. Gasoline and heating oil futures are higher, too. So don't be surprised by higher prices at the pumps.

Sunoco on the GSP went up 10 cents overnight to $3.77 for B5. I guess it's their last chance to increase profits during the labor day weekend. It will be back down to $3.67 next week.

Here in Phoenix regular gas is about $3.31 , diesel is $3.65.

I'm used it only being about 20c more than regular, or about the same as premium.

The media is blaming it all on Syria today. Pushing the price of Middle Eastern crude through the roof. According to what they reported on NBC this morning, we should see the highest prices within the last two years. More if things escalate.

don't worry , once we are finished with syria , our jihadist friends will allow us to set up pipelines to pump Iraqi oil thru Syria and diesel prices will drop

That would jive with what I paid tonight... $4.09 a gallon. Haven't seen it over 4 bucks in awhile.

It's running $3.99 to $4.09 here in the Metro Detroit area for me. Has been $3.79 to $3.99 in the month since I bought my TDI.

I saw it shoot up in Crofton, Md. by 20cents, was $3.699 @ WaWa Monday and $3.899 yesterday, but still $3.799 @ WaWa near me. (Annapolis RT50)

Des Moines as of 08/30 $3.829, was $3.679 about two weeks ago. on 08/28 it was $3.729 when I filled before leaving town.

Diesel has been hovering between $3.85-$3.95/gal here in MN. Gasoline however has been extremely volatile in the same time period. From $3.40-$3.70/gal in most cases.

Truck Stop Citgo I-95 exit 40 4.16 and Mobil on 95 is 4.14 per gallon.

$4.19/Gallon here in Vernon CT at the Cumberland Farms. Seems every I need fuel its expensive and then a week after I fill up its back under $4/Gallon!

There's been a noticeable drop in diesel prices in my area, down a good 10¢ just today. The relief, however small, is welcome.
