Looking to part with my platinum grey 2012 TDI Jetta with 107k miles. Price $8,500. Located in East Tennessee
I bought this in 2018 from the VW dealer that sold it originally. It was included in the dieselgate buyback, and was "corrected" and sold as a VW certified pre-owned. Car hasn't been smoked in, and is still in great cosmetic and mechanical condition.
THE GOOD:
-Mechanically there are no issues. Had to have the clutch slave cylinder replaced a couple of years ago.
-Brand new Continental tires(installed mid-December 2022)
-Oil, air, cabin, fuel filter changed mid-December
-Husky liner mats
-Husky trunk liner
THE NOT-SO-GOOD:
-Timing belt will need to be done.
-Drivers seat leatherette has started to split ~6", but is only through the first layer, and not the bottom layer(cannot see pad).
-Front drivers fender has slight indentation. Not sure if someone leaned on it or exactly what happened to it. Looks like it could be pushed back out, and can be
accessed through fenderwell liner, but I haven't tried.
I've owned VW diesels for over 20 years, and enjoy driving it. Wanting to sell it because the nearest non-dealer TDI mechanic is over an hour away, and it's a hassle to have your mechanic that far away.
The weather here is nasty, but I can take some pictures when it clears a bit.
