Hi TDIers--

I posted about this car to the list recently, as I was considering getting a smaller TDI, and got responses from a lot of folks. I just got a 2013 TDI A3, so it's time to cut the GSW loose for you all! It's a strong running car, no problems or codes at all -- always gets at least 42mpg by my calculator at the pump. The car computer thinks it's getting over 50 mpg, but I think that's optimistic. Stock motor and exhaust, not chipped or molested in any way, lots of time left on the warranty, see below. Original two keys, along with a few conservative mods--heated seats, dieselgeek short shifter, 8 inch 2018 Tiguan touchscreen infotainment system with wired Apple Carplay and Android Auto (no navigation system, because the phone does that). Evolution skid plate, 1 1/4 inch hitch with optional Thule bike rack available for another $200. Oil change and def tank fill adapters included with sale, along with original splash guard.

I know $22500 is not cheap, but I probably overpaid for the car when I bought it and then put another 2500 into it. Offering it to the list first before I throw it to the wolves on facebook marketplace.

It has 108000 miles on it currently. I got the A3 a week ago and am using it now as my daily driver, so it should stay around 108000.

Dark Blue, six speed manual shift

It's the S model which means it has no sunroof! No sunroof means no leaking sunroof, which is a blessing you look for if you've been driving these cars for the past 30 years like I have.

Updated infotainment system from a 2018 Tiguan -- 8 inch touchscreen with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay--looks totally stock, like it was meant to be there. All the trim matches and there are no codes. This was an expensive mod but it was worth it.

Dieselgeek short shifter kit, less throw, more precise shifting.

Aftermarket heated seats. (VW of course)

Evolution Skid plate, along with the original splash guard.

1 1/4 hitch mount and option for Thule rear bicycle rack, I'll throw in the rack for another $200

Forgot to mention it has a dent on the passenger side lower panel from the previous owner and a scratch on the bumper from parking too close to the garage door. These are shown in the pictures.

Can you throw a photo of the heated seats in there? Are they stock and you added heating elements? Or did you replace the seats themselves?
Looks like an excellent car - plenty of folks here like the plain-vanilla "S" trim, and the 6MT is attractive to the audience here as well.

The seats are from VW. They have an on/off toggle on the door side of the lower cushion. I'll post a few pictures to the Flickr page when I get home.

Other features I forgot to mention, keyless entry, pushbutton start, factory reverse camera. I changed the oil about 1000 miles ago, all filters replaced last summer, new windshield, new tires last spring when I bought it.

One other interesting piece of info on the car--this one never was part of the buyback, the owner chose to keep it and just have the fixes done. So it never sat in the big parking lot in Michigan or wherever they were out west like so many of the ones that were waiting for the emissions fix.
