rdkern: just buy it already
Sounds like a good idea
Minor issue of a 2.0nb to sell - somehow 6 cars between my wife and me seems a tad more extreme than 5 - plus the cash would be awfully nice towards this beautiful ride.

Why does it have to rain EVERY day?!!

I am leaving for Vegas tomorrow to look for a place to live (moving early June). I will be back on the 10th. Hopefully it will be nice enough for a good wash, fresh wax and a few pictures

PS: Thanks for the bumps everyone and have a great week!

Hey, there. A newbie from a forbidden state (CA) is interested. Contact me when you get back from Vegas.

Just got back from Vegas today. Looks like I will be moving to Vegas around the first week of June.

Anyway, my email address is stevegott at gmail.com, if you have any questions and/or if you would like a copy of the CarFax report.

PS: Thanks for the bumps guys

Did you ever get the updated pics?
Sorry, between work and rain I haven't had a chance since I got back from Vegas a few days ago. Thunderstorms today but hopefully it will clear up sometime this weekend.

PS: I can't wait to move...should be out of Michigan the first week of June

So, I flew from Oakland, CA to Detroit, MI and back yesterday all in a marathon 27 hours (frequent flyer miles) to check out this TDI. Spent 8 hours with PlatinumGLS and his car and I bought it.

It is a sweet car! You fence sitters missed out. I can't believe more forbidden state folks are not snatching these up. Cars through private parties here at TDICLUB are way cheaper than dealers are selling them in CA, even with airline and auto shipping costs figured in!

So now that I have a TDI, I have to learn to make biodiesel. I wonder if my brewery equipment would be useful? I'll learn more about this in these forums, I am sure. Anybody in the SF Bay Area want to show me how they make biodiesel? Contact me directly.

Cheers!

Congratulations, I know you got a nice one! You did it the right way: You found the car and made the moves to grab it. That's the way to do it, be proactive !

OK, I'm just getting ready to pick up my "new to me" TDI tomorrow in Washington state and drive it home to SoCal, and running on or making biodiesel is very appealing to me too, but don't you dare mess up any brewing equipment. As a homebrewer for 8 years, I can't imagine using my brew gear to make fuel. Now, if you could make a TDI run on beer....

enjoy our new TDI,
Herb
