0 Europe
1 Golf, Use 1 the same as a Golf, for Jetta that should work OK
4 4 Channels (four speakers)
2 Sound Correction
1=no correction
2=DSP
3=Not sure?

7 This is the sum of options as follows
Active aerial =1 (standard on all VW's)

Oh my goodness. Chris!!! Have you coded your Radio yet? The sound just gets better and better.

Isn't it amazing when you code things properly??

Now I am impressed with the DSP. I would really like to hear the Monsoon with NAVI coded properly.

I get no DTC's. The only thing I can think of is your car started out with Monsoon. Mine didn't.

RADIO

DSP

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Use 1 the same as a Golf, that should work OK

so

5 digits 00000

0 Europe
1 Golf
4 4 Channels (for speakers)
2 Sound Correction
1=no correction (use for DSP)
2=monsoon 2-door
3=monsoon 4-door

7 This is the sum of options as follows
Active aerial =1 (standard on all VW's)
CD Boot changer =2
FIS display =4

Navigation
00001 = No TCM/No Telephone
00002 = With TCM/No Telephone
My car is a Passat sedan with Monsoon. Initial coding on the radio was 00400 and 00002 on the Navigation.

I could not code the radio to 01433, which looks like what I need. It just wouldn't take that code. I tried 01423, which it took, but that seems to be for DSP -- at least that's what displayed on the screen when I tried the radio -- and it sounded wrong. Tried 01413 and it took that. So I'll drive it that way today and see how it sounds.

I also changed the navigation to 00001, since I don't yet have the TCM box.

Thanks!

Make sure you have the K wire installed to the unit, I had to add one on mine.

While I'm here, should I leave my coding as 00407, or change it to 01417 as per the post?
I wonder what the model codes in the second field are - could 0 be the Passat?

Nope, stock GL. Would love to add DSP but I know that was a lot of work

i thought since it was a oem deck i wouldn't have to add the k line. i think its pin 7 of the obd port. but where does that wire go to. can i just use regular wire?

i got it pin7(obd) to pin 3 black connector.thasnks

OK got the k wire installed and the unit came with 05407. sounded great. so i changed it to 01411. didn't sound as goos. not as much bass. so then i changed it to 05401. still sounds as great as when i put it in. i will leave it like that.. but what does the 5 stand for.

I have a little probleme with my mfd1, can you help me?
I explain, I bougt the unit in germany, all is runing but the car situation is not right , I have a mistake from 350 meters,
After have read your topic here, i have try to recode the unit , but the code stay in 0000 and then impossible to have the tracking with gala the last number possible is 12.
impossible to access to the coding and put 0001.
I have also test to change the diameter weels and it doesn't reactualise automatiquely after several kilmometers.for me the GPS stay in abs impuls mode .
have you a idee for me.
thanks at all
