Still planning on being there. I'll bring along some parts too.

Seems like it. Unless someone else has contacted Mike in the last few days.

So is everyone ready for the GTG? Starts at 9:00 a.m.

Bring something to drink and if you run out there is a store just down the block.

Hoping to show up for a few hours towards the end. I committed to a long bike ride with my wife here on the westside in the morning, so hopefully I can get my act together and not be too tired to make the drive out afterwards. I'll look through my parts bin too for any bits that may be of interest to others.

No bicycles allowed!! Drive your car (TDI prefered). May just find a spot on the dyno for you also.!!

Unfortunately, no dyno for me. The oil change and analysis haven't happened yet (will happen right after the gtg) so I don't have results to troubleshoot the elevated lead from last time. The car can't see a dyno until I'm sure things are healthy.

Got this reminder from the dyno shop:

Hi John, just a quick reminder that any of the diesel guys that want torque need to make sure the crank pulley is accessible and you guys remove any skid plates, diffusers, undertrays, etc that cover the suspension and frame points. See you on the 20th.

Thanks,
Alex

Just a reminder, the GTG is on for Saturday, June 20. Just 9 more days.
Not late to say you will be there.
Just a short one. ? ? ?

Are there any dyno slots still available?

Regards,

Derrel

Got a 'new' diesel and simply want to verify its' power.

I know it's late. Would someone please notify me by landline at 951 834-0433?

Great to meet you all for a few hours! Maybe next time I'll be ready to dyno (that's if Digital Corpus doesn't hog it all up ;)

Yeah yeah yeah ;)

Hey, the car is still one one piece and I have definitive data. Plus it's no my fault I was the first one who they had a chance to use the optical pickup on :p. However and once again, 4 hrs of sleep last night and 6 before. For sustinance I've had an apple fritter, a microwave chimichanga, and a slice of pizza in the past 24 hrs. I'll post up the dunk results, you guys mostly, either early this coming morning or in the next day or so. Food and sleep, maybe a movie too, are on the books.

By the way. I left my laptop's power brick at the shop so there may be a delay un getting the dyno graphs up here. I'm seeing if WinPEP, the software DynoJet released for viewing their binary data files, will run under WINE on my server before I attempt to run the laptop down all of the way crunching the numbers et al. Apologies for the delay.

All of the dyno files that were given to me are just whp vs speed. I don't have whp & trq vs rpm. I'll contact that shop for more information and see what happens on Monday. They may have forgot that the first 3 cars didn't have the optical pickup but from myself on we did.

We had a nice turnout, not as large as times past, but a good turn out for such a warm day. We had 3 different shade structures set up and more than enough chairs. Lots of cold drinks too.

The day got off to a slower than expected start due to a couple of shop issues. Some of which dogged us much of the day. The first car, was running at 10 a.m. CHKERED's BMW 335i was top horsepower of the day with 3 runs of 424, 426 and 420hp. Torque was in the 460 lb/ft range. Sam's all wheel drive BMW turned in about 410 hp in each of his 3 runs. Digital_Corpus will post all the graphs early next uweek.

I had the last run of the day and manged two good pulls. 115 hp 237lb/ft and 117 hp 234 lb/ft. The only difference on my car from the pulls in my signature (3 years ago) is a rebuilt 11 mm pump to replace the 10 mm pump from 2012. Nozzle size and everything else is the same.

I have videos of all the runs that I am doing a simple edit on, I have sam's email, but if anybody would like their video emailed to them please PM me. Otherwise I'll have them videos posted to YouTube in a few days and everybody's links to their video posted here. If you'd like your dyno graph in your video, please PM me.

Wasted time

Left the GTG very disappointed, but what could I have expected?

No one cares about what a good machine the Cruze is, so why should I be
concerned about all the Cruze bashing that goes on here at Fred's anyway?

I know about the car and let all of those who DO NOT carry on with their dumb B/S.

Running it on the dyno at your GTG would have gone a long way to shutting up these dummies!

Carry on guys and enjoy!

I wish you would have stuck around for a minute after, I wanted to check out your cruze some more before you left.

If you want, on Friday, Thomas is gonna go dyno at 9am since we ran out of time. Im sure they can fit you in after.

Workload changed for me at work, so I'm not going to be able to dyno on Friday.

For the RPM-based graphs, I have some reconstruction to take care of. John Jackson's graphs are a mess, but I'm certain they're recoverable. The others from this day that are speed based have a couple issues too and I'm going to attempt to fix them. Apologies for the delays but this data is a bit of a mess...

As I said in post #82, I had two good pulls on Saturday. That information came from the print out the shop gave me. The third run had an optical reader problem, so only very partial data was on the print out.

Digital_Corpus just texted me his recovered data. Guess what? He recovered the data from the third run and on my phone, it looks like the best run of the day. That 3rd run started at 1300 rpm in 4th gear and shows a better low end response than the other two runs. BTW, the first 2 runs on the recovered data look just like what was printed on Saturday. So I am confident DC has done a nice job of date recovery. Will be pleased to see him up load all the graphs when he is done with his processing. Should be worth the wait.
