Roof finished yeah!!! :D I do plan on being there - the offer for the popup tent, beer, and mini BBQ still stands, let me know what is needed, I don't want to carry more crap then is necessary or needed.

If I get Biochoppers to install injectors before Saturday no guru is needed; but if that doesn't happen, I need a guru to install my new (used) injectors. Still searching for info on Viton tubing for injector return lines; I think the ID is 1/8”, OD is 1/4” and wall thickness is 1/16” anyone know if that’s correct?

ID in return line is 3mm iirc. I just used the 3mm vaccuum hose that IDParts sells at their direcition. If that is all you need to get setup, I have approx 3 feet of the 3mm hose in my toolbox I can bring for you. Let me know if that works.

Thanks SuperAdellic! 3 millimeters = 0.11811 of an inch, 1/8 of an inch is 0.125, about 0.00689 of an inch difference in diameter; about as close as I can get to off the shelf Viton tubing, that is, if I can get it in time. I run a Biodiesel blend, I’m not sure the vacuum line will last very long, but sure, if you can bring it, it could be a big help in a pinch, and probably last until I can replace it.

I think we just need beer now. Might wanna bring the pop up tent incase of rain though.....
Rain or not I will be there, mot likely around 11:00 AM.

The weather looks extremely unpredictable, I drove a lot of LA today and almost everywhere I went; Venice, Arcadia, Pasadena, Glendale, Downtown LA, and Hollywood had varying degrees of erratic rain; I’ll bring the 10’ x 10’ heavy duty popup tent.

It looks like other people are bringing enough beer, but, if you think we need more beer, PM me, I’ll see it in my email before I see it here.

I tried to get in touch with Biochoppers (Scott) today without much luck; maybe he will call tomorrow (Friday.) In the meantime, please put me down for one of the Gurus (no preference) that is bringing a slide hammer and can swap my injectors. I have new/used injectors and new injector ring seats, still on the hunt for the Viton tubing, which I hope to find tomorrow.

Also put me down for food, I'll bring the ten bucks.

Scott's real busy trying to get a build ready for the dyno. We've been under and over a car for the last two days. Friday's gonna be busy for him (alone).

Bring the injectors and lets do them at the GTG.

looks like we have 3 or 4 pop ups perfect.

If you can bring that weber, I think that will fit my very large pot of chili.

Hey, if anyone has any used 'entry-level' performance parts for sale for the ALH please bring 'em.
My engine is almost stock except for a tune + racepipe.
Thanks, Lee.

Yeah, Jeremy and Scott have been working their butts off, even in the rain. They are both very dedicated about getting that car completed. Their work is highly appreciated.

I'm planning on being there for the morning through 2pm or so...
You lucky fellows will get to set eyes on a beat up, incomplete, but running ALH 4runner. ;)

Maybe, I'll actually be completely proud of it by next year.

You're on; will bring the tent and the Weber BBQ.

The injectors were never pop tested; but, I don’t think it will hurt anything to swap them out and see what they do.

Since you’re in touch with Scott, please ask him to bring his slide hammer and the stock OEM injector return fuel lines he said he had in stock 3 days ago. I may try and stop by McMaster-Carr on my way in, but after talking to them today, I’m not sure I’ll be able to pick up the Viton tubing at “will call” early enough to make it there early in the day. Ironically McMaster-Carr is in Santa Fe Springs, and according to google maps, not that far from Scott’s shop.

I've got the slide hammer covered. I've also got about 3 sets of injector lines and a torque wrench. Should I just bring my tool box? All I've got for furniture is two fold up chairs, so I really appreciate the popup tents.

Yes, please. long story, but most of my tools are in storage, and I don't own a slide hammer anyway. Thanks! I assume someone will have Vagcom.

I might be late to this one. I'm currently attempting to fix my Passat's trunk latch which suddenly refuses to open with either key or release button, plus I have to pull a rear axle beam off a wrecked New Beetle I've got in my possession for a friend in L.A. before heading out.

I hope it all goes well without any snafus.

Okay. I have VagCom as well. Are there any specific tools that anyone needs me to bring (injector slide hammer has already been mentioned)? I have a lot of tools (roll away tool box) and I can't fit them all in the detachable top section. Let me know so I can grab them in the morning.

I'm looking forward to seeing this swap as I have thought about doing this myself.

Hopefully the rain holds out so we can enjoy some dry pavement for wrenching and hanging out.

I am hoping for some VCDS love for a 2012 Golf TDI. I believe a few people have mentioned they have the software and cables and are bringing them.

Also, is anyone bringing any TDI club merchandise (license plate holders or window stickers, etc.)?

Looking forward to the GTG tomorrow!
