Anyone that is interested in a dyno must abide by some rules.
  1. We will abide by the rules the dynoshop gives us, it's their business :)
  2. No fluid leaks, we aren't looking to make a mess at someone's shop. A baby drip shouldn't be a problem.
  3. Car doesn't have running issues. Be considerate of other members, by not holding up the dyno day as we figure out why you have a strange thump, or your timing belt just fell off.
  4. Before your run, it is expected that the vehicle is warmed up and ready to go on the dyno.
  5. I'm setting the lineup to be a minimum of 8 cars. We will adjust the amount of time for each car if allowable or at the discretion of the members. Just looking to be fair.
  6. Can also take a slot if you want to take logs for your tuner versus driving at illegal speeds on the freeway.
  7. Make sure your skid plate is removed prior to your dyno time. If you need assistance let me know. Makes it easier to hook up the optical pickup.
Dyno runs will start at 9:00am and end at 5:00pm (with a lunch break) and we will try to put as many cars down as we can. We will allot for about 45 minutes per car. Get there 30 min before your time slot at least.

Dyno price is $75 a person.
We will be paying for the full day!

To Confirm your Dyno spot Sent $75 for the full amount to my PayPal account. temporaptor@hotmail.com send the money as a gift to avoid PayPal fees.

Dyno- Their machine is a dynojet with a optical pickup! So we will get whp and torque.

Don't forget. If you don't get 8 folks on the dyno, it's gonna have to happen elsewhere. Or people just need to cough up a bit of dough to pay for the spot. Sad I know, but we are taking their business space.

So like the dead horse that I beat every GTG. Someone needs to find us a new location. Where we can wrench and show and glum it out in December.

So Noel, Dec 1 doesn't work for you?

BTW I will be attending the Bonelli Mk1/Mk2 GTG November 11.

Just came back from FSR and Ian is out of town. They will let me know on Monday what date works for them and final pricing. BUT, We NEED more people to dyno if we are gonna pull this off. Everyone at FSR said they can't wait for some of Jeremy's Food!

Andrew,

It would be great to have you come down and dyno your TDI!!! Jeremy needs some competition for top dog here.

Maybe a couple of you big dogs from the Bay would like to show us up on the Dyno????

Hey, what can I say, we need 8 of us on the dyno to make this happen. Come On Down. Bring $$$$ Let's make it happen.

I'm down to come hang out. The new to me Golf isn't ready for a dyno run (I think I have some valvetrain issues to deal with first). Who's doing the tuning?

Matt-98AHU just confirmed that he is coming! updated the 1st post to reflect the changes, looks like we should have TDTuning and Malone tuners at the GTG. Date is set for December 1st. Im still waiting for a final price for the dyno day.

I am in for the GTG and banging some wrenches if people need a hand.

I also would appreciate some minor VCDS mods if people have the tool. I just got my 2012 Golf TDI in June and want to adjust a few things (convenience windows with FOB, lane change blinker quantity, auto-off headlights in ignition off position, etc.).

Possible looking at stage 1 tune.. but that may be a stretch.

Blu,

I have a VCDS and I am familiar with most of those requests.

I will make sure to bring my laptop with me.

I might try and make this. Just gotta get the funds to board the dogs and make a weekend out of it.

Last dyno I ran was Mustang dyno, 186 whp, and before I did Frank06's cam and TDTuning magic :D

I'll try and make it. Never been to a GTG. Dyno would be nice, but can't promise yet. I'll know in a couple days or so.

Somehow I missed this thread. For the second year in a row I have the same conflict that weekend and can't make it. What a bummer. Have fun.

Minimum is 10 dynos or we make everyone cough up $10 to make up for it. You're gonna have folks bail on the dyno and be a$$ed out on $150!

I would appreciate it. I will gather all information I/We would need to make any modifications I would like. Turns out, I can adjust the convenience windows from my MFI. I made sure they were on and I flipped my convenience fog-light turning lights OFF. Didn't really care for their operation.

Looking forward to seeing some cars. Hopefully everything pans out.

*edit*
Apparently the MFI "convenience" windows and turn signal were different than I thought it was. I guess I need the VCDS for these items still.

This will be the 4th time for this event. The other 3 were quit successful. This one will be a success also. But as a group, we need to pay for the venue. Sorry to say it takes some money. And like most things, many helping hands make small work of any project.

For those of you who do not know, Jeremy is a real professional Chief. His food is really fantastic. But we need, as a group, pay for the food Jeremy prepares. Jeremy is not looking to make any money for his work. Just cover the costs of the food. So a $10 or so food cost is really a deal.

Paul & Jeremy. How about setting up a PayPal account to receive confirmed payment for both food and for dyno run payments. No refunds, because we all need to bankroll this GTG. Frankly, if you don't show up and eat the $10 worth of food, it will be truly your loss. The food is that damn good.

As in the past, I suspect any profits from the food will go to the TDIClub as a donation.

And I can tell you there will be no shortage of great food!

Also, we have two tuners set up to attend and a real TDI Guru for repair issues. There is no reason not to attend this event if you are any where in Southern California.

Anybody who wants to drive my EuroTuning 6 speed conversion can do it at this GTG. You can also check out the A4 shift linkage conversion installed on my B4V. Together, they are a fantastic improvement.

I also plan on dyno testing the base BK stock tune against my current TDtuning stage 3. Just to see a good base line and the tuning results.
