Nothing "wrong" with my current 02Q, just hit 200K Miles, first and second are difficult to get into, may be a slightly bent brass shift fork. Looking to refresh the transmission with steel shift forks and perhaps a limited slip differential. Does anyone know a good shop in southern California that rebuilds VW transmissions? All I can find are shops that specialize in VW busses, go figure. I hesitate rebuilding it myself as I work with a couple folks who've blown up 02Qs and 02Ms after rebuilding them and not "shimming the case" correctly.. according to them.
So Cal 02Q rebuild shop?
