Smoked Taillights

I put some smoked taillights in my 98 Jetta a couple days ago. Purchased on ebay, these lights fit perfect and look great. Just a heads up if anybody is looking for a set, I paid $156 for all 4 with shipping. Now on to replacing my falling apart muffler with a straight pipe.

Yeah, I got mine off of my Grandma's car--a Trek. She didn't care. Total price for me was $50, because I had to replace one of my taillights that was cracked.
Mufflerectomies are fun as well--if you pay any more than $90 (including a $30 tip) then it's waaayy too much.

With the aftermarket or trek lights, do they come with bulb sockets in the inner red portion on the trunk lid? I was thinking of putting bulbs in the inner section of mine, but there are no sockets and the mounts are covered. Thanks

The sockets are on the bulb holder that connects to the back of the taillights. You will have to drill the hole out to be able to use them. This is where the rear fog hooks up.

The aftermarket lights on th trunk lid have holes in them for bulbs and my original bulb sockets on the trunk lid have a place to put bulbs, but there are no wires going to these sockets. The aftermarket taillights didn't come with bulb sockets. I might wire up the lights on the lid so they come on with the brake lights and marker lights
