Hey guys! As some of you are aware, I am expecting a baby girl in April. Well, no matter what my wife and I were expecting, she decided to inherit her mother's impatience. We had an action-packed Monday morning last week, and now I'm a proud daddy of a premature baby girl. Born on February 22, 4 lbs 14 oz. Her name is Kianna Emma Kratochwil.
Baby is doing well, but has to stay in the NICU for at least another week. Standard protocol is to hold premature babies until they are 36 weeks old. The hospital has no net access, so that's why I haven't managed to post anything earlier. As hard an experience it is to have your new baby in the NICU, it's also really amazing for first time parents. The nurses are awesome, answer all our questions, and it gives us an opportunity to get comfortable with our new child before bringing her home.
