I am a new 2012 Passat SE owner. Just shy of 1000 miles. I have a question about the side mirror heater switch. When it is switched from neutral to left [or right] and then to the heated mirror position...it feels like the switch is broken...I guess as long as it works no big deal. I would have thought placing the switch in the heated position would have a more positive, solid feel...thoughts?

I know, with all of the other slick features this one baffles me, my Golf was like that too.

Yeah, its been that way for a long time. It used to be that you wouldnt have an 'off' position... it was on, or it was on a mirror...

I have not figured mine out either there is a 6 o'clock, that I think of locked (off) a 5 and 7 o'clock that is right and left adjustment, then a 2o'clock that is heater indicator. no click or stop there.
Secondly they some times heat regardless of switch position.
